Sunrise Surf Academy offers expert-led kids and teen surf camps at four iconic LA beaches: Venice Beach, Zuma Beach, Santa Monica, and Pacific Palisades. With years of experience and a carefully crafted curriculum, we teach all skill levels, from first-time surfers to teens preparing for competitions. Our camps welcome campers ages 5-16 and maintain a low 3:1 camper-to-instructor ratio for personalized attention, safety, and maximum fun.

Nestled between Malibu and Santa Monica, the Palisades is a piece of tranquility in Los Angeles. We are located at the center of the Will Rogers State Beach, this location offers a close-knit surf community welcoming all surf levels.
Located in the heart of Los Angeles, our Venice Beach location is at the center of a robust historic surf culture. In close proximity to Marina Del Rey, Culver City, and Santa Monica, a day of surf camp has never been so easy.
Located in the heart of Malibu lies our Zuma Surf Camp. Our Malibu surf camp provides professional instruction for kids and teens in a safe, fun, and supportive ocean environment during our limited 2026 sessions.

Our surf camps always maintain a low 1:3 instructor-to-student ratio while also providing a dedicated personal ocean lifeguard. By capping camp enrollment, we ensure the best ratio of any surf camp in Los Angeles while keeping the highest-quality instructors. This means your child will never feel lost in the crowd and will receive personalized instruction along with deeper connections to their counselors and peers.

Provided Gear and What to Bring to Camp
All campers are provided with sanitized proper fitting wetsuits to ensure your camper stays warm and comfortable in the water. In addition to wetsuits we provide custom camp rashguards and a foam surfboard tailored for each camper's ability. Our beach set-up offers plenty of shade, chairs and umbrellas along with onsite cold drinking water. Please pack your child with the following

- Snacks
- Plenty of water
Sunrise is proud to partner with Children's Menu. Lunch is ordered beforehand though Children's Menu.

To serve our greater Los Angeles community we are proudly offering transportation to our Palisades location. We offer multiple drop-off locations for our luxury roundtrip transportation service to ensure a wonderful experience. Lunch Options
We want to ensure that all campers are well-nourished and energized for a day filled with fun and activities. We offer two options for lunch:
- Bring Your Own Lunch: Campers are welcome to bring their own lunch from home. We encourage campers to pack healthy and nutritious meals that will provide them with the energy they need for an exciting day at camp.
- Order a hot Lunch. Sunrise Surf Academy is proud to team up with Children’s Menu, a local mom-powered catering company specializing in fresh, nutritious meals kids love. To learn more or to order simply click here.
