What Does a Surf Birthday Party Look Like?
Smiles, waves (both kinds), and fun. We make having a fantastic beach party as easy as possible. Our low 3:1 event ratio ensures that everyone gets the personalized attention they deserve to have fun.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by our shady setup and stoked staff. All food, drinks and seating will be waiting for your enjoyment. The birthday party will start with an engaging land lesson. Each land lesson is tailored to the group and experience level but most commonly goes over the basics of surfing for party goers who have never surfed before.
Once we have completed our land lessons the shredding commences! beginners and young children will always be one on one with instructors, while more advanced surfers receive group instruction. After catching loads of waves you will return to land where you will learn that the hardest part of surfing is taking off the wetsuit.
In addition to tons of surfings, shakas and smiles all of our parties include an event lifeguard to allow for safe swimming and tons of fun beach games.

FAQ
No one will be forced to surf, and the party will still be enjoyable for non-surfers. However, in our experience, almost everyone gives surfing a shot once they see how fun it looks.
A typical party lasts around 3 hours with 2 hours of surfing time. However, everything, including the length of the party, is completely up to you.
Absolutely. We would be happy to help set them up for you as well.
No location is best. We have handpicked these locations as they offer the best range of waves for beginner surfers to intermediate surfers That said, each location changes with regards to the waves and tides. If you are flexible on location or start time, we suggest giving us a call at (323) 366-0070 to discuss the optimal time.
We have plenty of instructors who speak both English and Spanish, but we will do our best to accommodate other languages upon request.
Yes. All events are insured and Sunrise Surf Academy possesses permits from LA County Department of Beaches and Harbors.
Upon receiving a quote, a 25% deposit is collected. This deposit is non-refundable and secures your dates. This deposit cannot be transferred to credit or refunded. Full payment is due one full week before the event. Once paid in full no refunds are offered unless unforeseen weather events or beach closures prevent us from surfing.
