Shred Camp is our name for the full Sunrise Surf Academy program, the surf coaching your kid did over the summer, and the fall chapter that follows it. Fall Shred Season is that next chapter, one Sunday morning a week at the beach, running from late August through early November. It's built to keep the skills your surfer picked up over the summer moving forward, in new waves, with the same coaching approach.
You don't need to have been in summer camp to join. If your kid is comfortable paddling and standing up with some help, they're ready. A coach sits down with every surfer in week one to set a personal goal for the season, and we check in on that goal at every session after.
Surfers roughly ages 5 to 16, at any level from first-timer to confident wave-catcher. Coaches group by skill, not just age.
Home base is Venice Beach, with sessions rotating to Santa Monica and Will Rogers, plus travel trips out to Zuma, Huntington and San Clemente.
Same coaching crew, same 3 to 1 attention, same easy communication with parents you had all summer.
Fall Shred Camp is more than just weekend surf sessions — it’s a season-long journey designed to keep kids progressing, confident, and stoked. Families join us because they know their surfers will get:
Every surfer sets one season goal with their coach in week one, then follows a roadmap built around it. We revisit and adjust that roadmap at every session.
Four dedicated media days let surfers see their progress, refine technique, and bring home lasting memories.
Trips to Zuma, Huntington, and San Clemente introduce new breaks, new challenges, and unforgettable crew moments.
The complete Shred experience. Applications close September 14th.
10 weeks of small-group coaching, 4 media days, 3 surf trips with shuttles, and a final all-inclusive celebration in San Clemente. Each surfer sets a goal, follows a personalized roadmap, and leaves the season more confident and capable.
Flexibility when you need it.
Join a single weekend session, space permitting. Surfers enjoy the same Sunrise coaches, 3:1 ratio, and good vibes — perfect for staying sharp if your fall schedule is packed.
Three chapters, one roadmap
Weeks 1–4
Four sessions in a familiar spot to build water confidence and lock in fundamentals. This is where the season roadmap gets built, with photo and video breakdown on day one to mark the starting point.
Weeks 5–7
By now most surfers are well on their way toward their goal. These three sessions push that progress into better conditions, getting the crew ready for the trips ahead.
Weeks 8–10
Three Sundays away from home base, each at a new break with transportation covered. The final Sunday is a full day and a proper season celebration, lunch included.
Ten Sundays, including three trip days with shuttle transportation. Select any date, location, time, price, or note for full booking details. All products are subject to the 10% L.A. County tax.
Beach locations depend on which spot has the best conditions for the group's skill level that week. We give advance notice of any changes, and the times above are the ones to plan around.

Provided at every local session, so no one runs low mid-morning.

More details to come soon!
Fall Shred Season is about setting goals, chasing progress, and building community. Whether surfers join for the full season or drop in, they’ll leave more confident, capable, and stoked.
Yes. It's built to carry those summer skills forward with the same coaches, just in new conditions and with a season long goal attached. New surfers are welcome too.
We pick each week's spot based on which conditions suit the group best, so a location shown as "or" may shift closer to the date. We always give advance notice before a session.
Only to the meeting point. Shuttle transportation from there to Zuma, Huntington or San Clemente is included, along with the drop off back at Will Rogers or Venice.
A wetsuit if they have one, sunscreen and a towel. Boards are provided. Snacks and water are covered on site, and lunch is included on the final full day trip.
After each session your surfer gets a short note on what they worked on. Coaches also check in regularly with how things are tracking against the season goal your surfer set in week one.
Simple drills to practice between sessions so progress doesn't stall during the week. Nothing that needs equipment beyond what your surfer already has.
The online guide covers everything about the season, and the shared drive is where all your surfer's photos and video from the four media days land, so you don't have to chase them down after each session.
An optional contest on Nov 8 where surfers show off what they've built over the season in front of friends and family. It's not included in the season price, it's a $65 add on if your surfer wants to take part.
No. If ten Sundays is too much for your fall schedule, ask about a single drop in session or a half season pass.
Complete the season application for the full or half season. To join a single session or surf trip, check the current availability and book online.
