World Cup Day at Sunrise Surf Camp — Soccer Meets Surfing

Summer camp just had one of its most fun days yet, and it had nothing to do with waves alone.

With the World Cup heading to Los Angeles this summer, we knew we had to bring a little bit of that energy straight to the beach. So we made a day of it. World Cup Day at Sunrise Surf Camp was all about combining two of our campers' favorite things — soccer and surfing — into one unforgettable morning.

We kicked things off with a classic game of beach soccer. Teams were drawn up, goals were set, and the competition got intense fast. Campers showed off some serious footwork in the sand, and a few future World Cup stars may have revealed themselves right there on the beach.

But we did not stop there. We took it to the next level by combining soccer and surfing at the same time — campers dribbling a ball while paddling out, popping up with the ball still in play, and finding new and creative ways to play the game while riding waves. It was chaotic, it was hilarious, and it was exactly the kind of out-of-the-box fun that makes camp memorable.

World Cup Madness is Coming to LA

With the World Cup arriving in Los Angeles this summer, the energy around our camp has been building for weeks. Our campers have been talking about it nonstop, and honestly, so have we. There is something special about a global moment like this landing right in our backyard, and we cannot wait to soak up every bit of it.
